Building details: Homekey Palo Alto is planned as a modular, interim supportive housing community on city-owned land at 1237 San Antonio Road. The project aims to serve individuals and families without stable housing via a “modular village” model, with private rooms (or small units), shared communal spaces (kitchen, laundry, social services), and supportive services to help residents transition toward permanent housing.
Affordability: Homekey Palo Alto is designed as interim supportive housing for people experiencing homelessness — singles, couples, and families.
Amenities: Private rooms with ensuite bathrooms (for singles/couples) or family-flex configurations for families. Shared laundry, kitchen/pantry facilities, and communal spaces. Outdoor community spaces — including a children’s play area (for families), outdoor areas, possibly a dog run/pet-friendly zone, garden or seating areas. On-site supportive services: counseling, vocational training, benefits/ housing help, case management, and services tailored to help residents transition to permanent housing. .
Parking: The building will include 82 parking spaces, with electric vehicle charging stations.
